Meet The Author

​

Jamie Bryant was born in the small town of Richlands, Virginia. She and her husband Dennis have three grown children, ten grandchildren and currently reside in Abilene, Texas. Jamie's love for writing over the years inspired her to put pen to paper often in hope of one day seeing her work in print. In 2002 that dream became a reality when she published 'Fish Guts and Other Bedtime Stories. Her first book was a collection of short stories about her life growing up in Virginia. 'Fish Guts' was re-launched in 2020 with a new cover and some pencil art additions. Its sequel is on track for a 2023 release.

The 'Dennys' Surprise Day Series' evolved from stories she made up and shared with the children she cared for in her home. 'The Fruit of the Spirit Collection' was a series God inspired her to write for children. Teaching children about love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control with engaging illustrated characters has become her passion.

Jamie worked as a Certified Childcare Provider for eighteen years, caring for over one hundred children. She spent the last fifteen years in the Senior Healthcare Industry as Sales/Marketing Director and Executive Director.
